The leaking pen

The Lighthouse

Well I’m very happy to say that the script for The Lighthouse is finally finished! Thus let me give you the synopsis – before starting off with the storyboard, creating more concrete images of how the story will finally look like;

Aran Island, Ireland, 1958. Here lives and works Dallan Keelin in a lighthouse at the rough coast of the Irish sea. After decades of common routine Dallan discovers a strange dark stain on the horizon appearing to be identical with the one made by the leaking pen on his map. Dallan, curious about the seeming coincidence, follows his discovery and finds out that the map on his desk stands in direct relation with his environment. Exactly the same map on which he based all his measurements and observations turns out to be the possibility to change everything he knows – and even more beyond the map. Motivated by his curiosity and his fantasy Dallan’s lighthouse breaks off the coast. Leaving the static existence by flying with accelerating rays of light into the unknown, though so familiar. He is travelling — because travelling is living.
